New Orleans band Twisted Teens released their album The Holy Cross Tigers on Friday, November 6, through the independent label Sub Pop. It is the group's third full-length album of 2026, meaning a main studio record rather than a single or EP.

The release came with a music video for the album's track "I Spend My Time Crying," shared on the same day, according to Pitchfork. The video was directed by Jack Massucci, who also directed the band's video for "Florida Water Blues." It follows a young kid as he moves around New Orleans, fishing, selling his catch door to door and learning to drive.

The album arrives after a busy year. Twisted Teens released "Blame the Clown" in January and "Florida Water Blues" in July, before this record. The band first released a self-titled debut album in 2024.

Sub Pop's page for the album lists tracks including "I Spend My Time Crying," "Blue Flower," "I Bring," "Look In The Mirror" and "Lock And Key." The album is sold on CD, LP, cassette and digitally. Sub Pop is known for its independent catalogue, so the release is handled by a label outside the three major groups of Universal, Sony and Warner.

The band's live plans run through the rest of 2026. Twisted Teens are touring as the opening act for Kurt Vile and the Violators, and then headline shows in Australia. Next year, the group is set to play two European festivals: Primavera Sound in Barcelona and Best Kept Secret in the Netherlands.

For fans who want to hear the record in full, the album is out now on the usual streaming and download services, and the physical formats are the easiest way to own a copy. Each format carries its own price, set by the seller, so it is worth checking the shop page before buying.

The band's music has been covered by several outlets this year, and the release has drawn written reviews, including from Pitchfork and Paste Magazine. Those critics' verdicts are their own. A new album, a new video, and a tour schedule that runs into next year.
