Sony has cancelled Ratchet & Clank: Ranger Rumble, a mobile spin-off of its Ratchet & Clank series, according to Video Games Chronicle. The game will not get a full release. It will be removed from mobile stores on 21 November 2026, and its servers will shut down for good on 1 May 2027.

Ranger Rumble is a free-to-play game, which means anyone can download it at no cost and pay for optional extras inside it. It is a fast-paced multiplayer shooter set in platformer-style arenas, where players jump, run and fire across the battlefield. PlayStation published it. Oh BiBi developed it in partnership with Insomniac, the studio behind the main Ratchet & Clank games.

The game was first announced in November 2025. It soft-launched in the Philippines and Indonesia, then rolled out to Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, France, Canada and the UK. TheGamer reports that it launched globally in October 2026, before the shutdown was announced. A PlayStation blog post from July 2026 had listed six game modes for launch.

Players who already have the game can keep playing after it leaves the stores, right up until the servers close. Its Qwark Pass, a season pass that unlocks a track of rewards and changes each season, will keep running until that shutdown. The game's Super Pass, which normally costs money, is now free to all players.

Purchases have also been switched off. In-app purchases, the extras people could buy inside the game, have been removed. The game's website says the final planned update will roll out on 6 November 2026.

For anyone who has been playing, the timeline runs in three steps. Store listings end on 21 November. Play continues until 1 May 2027. After that date, the game will no longer be playable.
