Tegan and Sara Release Two Christmas Songs, Each With a Video
Tegan and Sara have released two Christmas songs, "I Love Christmas" and "A December to Remember," on November 6, 2026. Each song has an official music video, published on the duo's YouTube channel. Consequence reported the release on the same day.
The songs grew out of a project the pair worked on with Kate Cooper, who also produced them. That work began around the time of Tegan and Sara's 2024 graphic novel, Crush. Rolling Stone reported that Tegan returned to the holiday material after finishing her first middle-grade novel, Merry Christmess, which came out in September. Middle-grade books are written for readers roughly eight to twelve years old.
The holiday release follows a single from the autumn. In September, the duo released "Our Year," a track featuring Lights and Felix Cartal. Lights and Cartal are guest performers, meaning other artists who sing or play on a song. "Our Year" was Tegan and Sara's first new material since their 2022 album, Crybaby. The two Christmas songs are therefore the newest recordings from the pair so far.
Touring is next on the calendar. Tegan and Sara will tour with Hilary Duff on select U.S. dates next fall, which means autumn 2027. Dates, cities and ticket details had not been listed at the time of publication.
For listeners, the holiday songs are available now, with the videos on YouTube. Anyone who wants to watch the clips can find them through the duo's channel, and the songs sit alongside the pair's earlier catalogue on streaming services.
