Wardogs Season 3 Launches 12 November, Alongside a Ban Wave Aimed at 185,000 Accounts

Wardogs Season 3 launches on 12 November, and developer Bulkhead is pairing it with a ban wave aimed at 185,000 accounts. According to Eurogamer, the accounts belong to exploiters, real-money traders and gold-farming networks. Those players have been permanently banned and have lost their server-hosting privileges.
A season is a block of new content that a game adds after launch, and Season 3 brings several changes. The biggest visible one is a new urban map. Its design centres on close-quarters fighting, where players battle at short range rather than across long open distances.
The season also adds a new Limited Mode. It restricts the weapons, ammunition, armour and vehicles players can use. For now, Limited Mode includes three rules: full metal jacket ammunition only, which means bullets with a metal casing; a cap on armour at Tier 2; and a smaller selection of attack vehicles. Bulkhead has described these as the current settings, so they may change.
Bulkhead also says Season 3 progression, meaning the pace at which players unlock new items, will be brought closer to the pace of Season 1. Seasons will last three months from now on. Full Season 3 patch notes, the detailed list of changes, will be released before launch.
Wardogs is a first-person shooter, a game played through the eyes of the character, from Bulkhead. Its CEO is Joe Brammer. The game entered Steam Early Access on 10 September, a stage where players can join and play while development continues. The studio says Wardogs has had close to four million unique players since launch. Console versions for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S are due in 2028.
Matches support up to 100 players. According to the game's website, it mixes tactical gunplay with combined arms combat, where infantry, vehicles and other units fight together, along with building and destruction. Its main mode takes inspiration from King of the Hill. Three teams fight for a Control Zone, a randomised 2x2km area inside a 256km² map. The team with the most players inside the zone earns points, and the first team to reach 100 points wins.
Each player begins with $10,000 and buys a custom loadout from weapons, gear, utility items and vehicles every time they respawn. Cash carries over from one match to the next, so spending decisions can shape more than a single round.
The anti-cheat work is also part of the update. Bulkhead says it analysed 187 million hours of gameplay with help from machine learning, a form of software that finds patterns in large amounts of data. The studio plans a player trust score for 2027. Bigger changes to the wider game, including a new progression system, are also due in 2027 as Bulkhead works towards a version it calls Wardogs 1.0.
Players who want the details can check the patch notes before 12 November. Those who want to see the new map and Limited Mode can do so from launch day.
