Ubisoft is reportedly working on two new Assassin's Creed games, one set in ancient Rome and one a mobile title set in Jerusalem. Eurogamer reported the claims on 7 November 2026, attributing them to the YouTuber Xj0nathan.

The Rome game is codenamed Mars, a working title used during development. Xj0nathan said two sources with access to Ubisoft's internal systems backed up the name. He also said the Rome setting will likely be linked to the upcoming Assassin's Creed TV series.

That series is a live-action show from Netflix. IGN reported in March 2026 that it will begin in the year 64 AD, and a later IGN piece in May 2026 confirmed that it will be set in ancient Rome.

The second game is codenamed Pocket. Xj0nathan claimed it is a mobile game set in Jerusalem that plays like the Mastery Challenge system in Assassin's Creed Valhalla. He also said it will look similar to the most recent Prince of Persia game, and that the hero's mentor is a character called Myriam.

Insider Gaming, a games news outlet, said it had also heard the Mars and Pocket codenames. It said it could not confirm them well enough to report them independently. It does not expect anything to be heard about Mars until 2029 or 2030, if the project moves into full production. Full production is the stage where a game moves from early planning into building the finished product.

For now, these are reported claims, not confirmed details. Codenames often change before a game is announced, and a project can change shape or stop altogether during development. Fans who follow the series will have to wait for the publisher's own announcements to know what, if anything, is coming.
