Emmy Rossum has joined RAINN, the anti-sexual violence organisation, as an ambassador. Deadline reported the role on 8 November 2026. An ambassador is a public voice who speaks for a cause.

The partnership was announced by RAINN on 6 November 2026. The two say they want to deepen public understanding of sexual violence through storytelling. That is the link to Rossum's work as an actor.

Rossum stars in Hulu's thriller Furious as Alice Black, an FBI agent. Black is hunting a mysterious and calculating female serial killer. The show's other lead, Lola Petticrew, plays Catherine Grace, a survivor of sex trafficking who begins killing wealthy men.

Rossum says she spoke with real survivors of sexual violence and trafficking while preparing for the role. Deadline reports that she is now getting ready to return for a second season.

Hulu has already committed to that second season. In August, ahead of the first season's finale, the streamer renewed the series. A renewal is a network's decision to order more episodes, and in this case it came before the first run had ended.

For the people who work on the show, a renewal means the next season can be planned. Writers, crew and cast can start to build a schedule around it. No premiere date for Season 2 has been announced.
