DAZN Becomes Exclusive Streaming Home of YES Network and MSG Networks for 2026–2027 Seasons

DAZN will be the exclusive direct-to-consumer streaming home of YES Network and MSG Networks for the 2026–2027 NBA and NHL seasons, under a partnership announced on 29 July 2026 (Variety).
For fans in the New York area, that means one app replaces another. Subscribers within the networks' regional coverage territories will get live games for the Yankees, Knicks, Nets, Rangers, Devils, Islanders, and Sabres through DAZN. They will also receive 24/7 feeds of MSG, MSG Sportsnet, and YES, along with original programming (Variety).
The deal appears poised to end the Gotham Sports App, the digital joint venture between YES Network and MSG Networks that launched in 2024. Current Gotham users will keep uninterrupted access during the transition, with YES and MSG aiming to migrate them to DAZN during the 2026–2027 NBA and NHL seasons. Exact timing will be announced in coming months (Variety).
"Direct-to-consumer" streaming means viewers subscribe directly through an app rather than through a traditional cable package. DAZN, a London-based sports streaming service, already carries NFL Game Pass, NHL.TV, the NBA, and NCAA college football and basketball outside the United States. This partnership gives the platform its most significant foothold yet inside the US regional sports market (Variety).
Shay Segev, CEO of DAZN Group, said in a statement that the deal "underscores our commitment to expanding our footprint in the United States." Jon Litner, president and CEO of YES Network, called the partnership a reflection of "the YES Network's continued commitment to elevate the streaming experience for our direct-to-consumer subscribers and TV Everywhere users" — the latter referring to viewers who already authenticate through their cable provider to stream channels online (Variety).
For viewers, the practical shift is straightforward: the same teams, the same live games, a different app. The Gotham Sports App launched just two years ago as a combined streaming destination for YES and MSG content. Its apparent wind-down illustrates how quickly the regional sports streaming landscape can pivot when a deeper-pocketed partner enters the picture.
No pricing for the DAZN-delivered YES and MSG content has been announced. The networks have not confirmed a firm shutdown date for the Gotham Sports App, and the transition timeline remains tied to the start of the 2026–2027 NBA and NHL seasons.
