Natalie Zea is heading to Fox. The actress, currently seen as Dr. Camille Turston on CBS's Fire Country, has landed a heavily recurring role on the second season of Memory of a Killer, according to Deadline (Deadline).

Zea will play Olivia, described as a brilliant, ambitious businesswoman. Her new gig will not affect her ongoing work on Fire Country, where she recurs on the CBS drama. She also recently recurred on NBC's Chicago Med.

Memory of a Killer stars Patrick Dempsey as Angelo Flannery, also known as Doyle. The series draws inspiration from both a book and the 2003 Belgian film De Zaak Alzheimer (which translates to The Alzheimer Case). The first season's cast included Michael Imperioli, Peter Gadiot, Richard Harmon, Odeya Rush, and Daniel David Stewart alongside Dempsey. Season 2 is set to premiere midseason 2027 on Fox — meaning viewers can expect it in the January-to-spring window of that year.

Zea is not the only new face joining the show. Meta Golding is coming aboard as a season regular, playing Mel, Angelo's childhood sweetheart. That casting detail adds a personal thread to whatever the writers have planned for the show's sophomore run.

Behind the camera, Aaron Zelman and Glenn Kessler serve as showrunners — the top creative decision-makers on a series. The show is produced by Warner Bros. Zea's career has spanned some of the past two decades' most talked-about dramas. Her breakout role was Karen Darling on Dirty Sexy Money. From there she built a résumé that includes Justified, The Following, The Unicorn, La Brea — where she was a series lead for three seasons — and The Detour. She also made her directorial debut helming two episodes of The Detour.

For a performer known primarily as an actress, Zea has been quietly building a second career on the page. She has writing projects set up at FX, Universal Television, and Warner Bros. Television. She is also developing a one-hour dramedy called Shake It with Legendary Entertainment and Hyphenate Media Group.

On the representation side, Zea recently signed with TFC Management for representation across all areas. She continues to be represented by Innovative Artists and the law firm Gang, Tyre, Ramer, Brown.

What makes the casting worth noting is the trajectory.
