Fakemink has surprise-released a new solo single, 'Love Is a Dog From Hell', his first since dropping his second album Terrified and its preceding mixtape The Boy Who Cried Terrified in spring 2026. The track arrived on 7 August 2026, announced on his official Instagram account and reported the same day by Pitchfork.

The song runs two minutes and 24 seconds on SoundCloud, where it is credited as 'Prod OK' — short for its producer, @wegonebeok, also referred to as OK. It is distributed through the EtnaVeraVela label and has already landed on Spotify's 'New Music Friday Italia' playlist.

'Love Is a Dog From Hell' marks Fakemink's return to solo output after a busy stretch. Terrified, released earlier this year, followed his 2023 full-length London's Saviour. Ahead of the album he also shared one-off singles including 'Givenchy', 'Easter Pink', and 'MAKKA', the latter a collaboration with Ecco2k and Mechatok. The rollout for Terrified took Fakemink across North America and Europe. The tour opened with two performances at Coachella and closed with a two-weekend run at Warsaw's CLOUT Festival — a route that paired festival stages with the kind of club and theatre circuit that smaller-room artists typically build on the road.
